Scott is a 2nd generation Film industry brat, as his Emmy "Honorable Mention" key grip father worked many year in Hollywood film, tv, and commercials starting with Ozzie & Harriet & retiring at Paramount in the early 80's. He did not follow in his father's footsteps, as his 30 years of spotty experience has been on both sides of the camera in Film and TV, and up & down the production ladder.

During the late 90's, Scott was behind the "Highland Studios" project: to establish and build an innovative, independent "World-Class" motion picture production studio, utilizing unique monolithic dome structures for sound stages on 120 acres of a hilly (almost wilderness) area, within Hollywood's "Studio Zone". This followed a seminar series program on Studio Operations by AMPAS - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Scentces.

His first feature project (ancient Celtic related), almost 20 years, ago was as a co-writer/producer with Gall-Gael Films and he located a weilling financier for $8 Million; the rest is history. Many of his writing projects for Film & TV started out as puns, which led to titles. Then, he'd put together a top sheet and start working on a story. One of those concepts gained the attention of a fast-growing independent TV network production company in 2004.

Scott's industry affiliations have included, but are not limited to: Flash Forware Institute, Hollywood Film Institute, EPPS (Entertainment Publicists Professional Society), Los Angeles Post Production Group, SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Theatrical Engineers), The EXCHANGE (at CBS Radford), and VFT (Veterans in Film & Television), now known as: VME (Veterans in Media and Entertainment). He spends some of his spare time writing and developing multiple Film, TV and theme projects.

VETERAN ADVOCACY
Scott does not limit his entire time to the Entertainment Industry as he is also active as an advocate for Veterans: He is launching a Veteran’s charity for the purpose of developing specialty Veteran’s housing, whether assisted living and/or transitional. This will consist of converting existing buildings and bringing them up to (and exceed) code whenever and wherever possible with NO cutting corners. All buildings are to have the latest in Green and Sustainable technology to meet the highest LEED rating as possible! Only The BEST For Our VETS! Hence, involvement with these organizations: AOA (Apartment Owners Association) and FIBI (For Investors, By Investors).

Scott is also active with these:

  • American Legion Post 176 - San Fernando, as the Assistant Adjutant.
  • Also District 20 Chairman for Amateur Radio
  • National and Civil Defense
DAV – Disabled American Veterans Chapter 13
  • Camp Kearny Van Nuys – Life Member
  • Vietnam Veterans of America - Chapter 355, Covering the Antelope/SCV/SFV

He also did a stint as a Staff Volunteer with LA Fleetweek 2017. Planning Committee for the Veterans Village.

MULTI-TASKER
Scott is also been involved in a myriad of various indirectly connected industries, and his service in the Navy (at the end of the Vietnam War) began his side interest in Oceanology and Marine Dynamics, which has him now involved with the following:

As an “OG” (Old Guy Surfer) he participates with the SurfRider Foundation – LA/ Malibu Chapter.
