Called “Vaudeville sensations” by Vanity Fair Magazine, Evans and Rogers are award winning vocalist Sharon Evans and veteran impressionist Rick Rogers. Together this husband and wife team brings to the stage the best in musical comedy in the classic style of early 20th Century entertainment. Memorable songs, dance, and impressions of Eddie Cantor, Al Jolson, James Cagney, and other famous personalities, are just part of their vast entertainment repertoire.
Aside from performing at local venues, festivals, charity events (such as the star-studded Silver Spur Awards), and the occasional film or television appearance, Evans and Rogers also write and produce their own variety shows where they present their unique brand of musical comedy and showcase some of the best talent on stage in the Los Angeles area. Also known as Hollywood's best kept secret, Evans and Rogers have performed for some of the industry's brightest luminaries, and are recipients of the President's Award of Special Merit from the Southern California Motion Picture Council.
The latest CD by Evans and Rogers is "Standing Right Beside A Rainbow." With liner notes by Miles Kreuger, the world’s foremost authority on the American musical, it is now available on CDBaby. Performance videos are on Youtube, Vimeo and at www.evansandrogers.com. |
